The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely include third-generation Snapdragon Series 8 chips produced by Qualcomm.


Samsung is Apple biggest competitor in the smartphone market and has a 20% share of the global market, compared to 16% for the US company, according to Counterpoint Research.


Meanwhile, Samsung has a 25% market share in the United States, behind Apple's 53% share, and new features not available on the iPhone could help it attract more customers.


Qualcomm said in October that its new Snapdragon chipset would enable mobiles to run generative AI applications directly on the phone.
